About ProPAN

The principal of ProPAN, Steve Amos, has over 40 years' experience in the industry, much of it gained with the renowned Courtaulds company, who pioneered the global carbon fibre industry.

During the last 30 years Steve has focused on carbon fibre production and held senior technical positions covering all aspects of the process including; raw materials, polymerisation, solvent recovery, precursor spinning, process control, oxidation and carbonisation.

Steve was also heavily involved in vital, but often overlooked, supporting activities including analytical control/product testing (on-line and laboratory based), environmental protection, occupational hygiene, and management systems.

Steve has extensive experience of technology transfer, having worked on start-ups in China, Russia, South Africa, Germany, and India.

In addition to our in-house expertise, ProPAN has access to a network of industry experts who can provide support to carbon fibre projects of any size, from lab scale to commercial.
